We’ve chosen a name

September 21st, 2008

What an awesome response!

Thank you so much to everybody that took time out of their busy day to suggest a name for our new division. There were some GREAT suggestions, and with so many suggestions it was a hard choice.

We felt that many of the names were right down our alley and were a perfect fit with our current range of products and services - and sadly some of those great names were already taken, so we decided to stick with our original idea for a name…

So what do you think of it? Since it’s we’ll be helping small a large business to sell their products and service over the internet we felt this described out products and service perfectly.

I’ll keep everyone updated on our progress as we slowly introduce the new services.

Leave your comments below and tell us how you like it.

We Need A Name - What Do You Suggest?

September 11th, 2008

We get so many requests from our customer to help them with their website marketing and building their websites that we’ve decided to start a new division… (well not really new since we’ve actually been doing this for quite a while ‘unofficially’)

Well be providing a range of consulting and web development service basically aimed at helping you and other business owners sell their products and services online.

Here’s how we’ll help you:

  • Provide free tips and strategies helping you to selling your products and services online
  • Do market research on your behalf - finding out what people are looking for online, discovering how well your competitors are doing, uncover exactly what your competitors are doing to get traffic to there websites (like which keywords are they using, how many visitors are they getting to their site etc..)
  • Develop a whole web stratgey for your business - everything from marketing ideas, to where to advertise, what content to put on your site, develop a step by step plan to get you going and much, much more…
  • Heck, we’ll even build your whole website for you and include things like shopping carts, email marketing systems, blogs, forums and more
  • And of course we will be advising and help with SEO (search engine optimisation - that’s where you come up high in the search engines)
  • Help you setup your marketing programs and tracking tools

BUT we need a name for this new division…

We alread have a name in mind - But I’d really love your suggestions. So here’s what I’ve decided to do:

I’m going to pay you $100 to come up with a name for this new division. All you need to do is leave your comments below and IF we use the name you suggest you’ll get $100…

Now please make sure you leave your real name as well (otherwise we’ll never know who you actually are!)

Suggestions will be closing on the 19th September. Now remember - we already have one name we like but we’re open to new suggestions. Keep in mind what services we’re offering and suggest away…

All Websites Back Online

June 3rd, 2008

Hi,

For the first time since we started online our websites were down for around 48hrs.

It turns out that there was an explosion in the data centre (Based in Houston Texas) where our servers are located. Apparently some electrical equipment had gone faulty and literally exploded taking down 3 walls in the data center !

Normally backup Generators would kick in and keep the centre going but since the problem was in the electrical system they decided it was to risky getting power back into the system until they figured out exactly what went wrong in the first place.

The data center had people working around the clock to get power back online and finally around 48 later it was done.

The good news is that everything is back up and running again.

So if you’ve been trying to access any of the following sites:

http://www.dreamweavermadesimple.com
http://www.dreamweaverbeginnertips.com
http://www.buildingwebsites-made-simple.com
http://www.infoweblink.com/blog
http://www.idomainsmadesimple.com
http://support.infoweblink.com

you should find that they’re all working now.

If you had sent any emails requesting support between Saturday night and Monday Morning there’s a there’s a good chance we didn’t receive them so please try again.

If you don’t receive a response to an support request or email - it’s not that we don’t care ;) it’s more likely that we didn’t receive your email.

I hope that you haven’t been inconvenienced by this event.

Warmest Regards
