When I started online in 2004, I felt as though i'd run straight into a brick wall with one of those mini scooters at 40 miles per hour!
I had almost NO idea where to start, and even when I started getting a bit of an idea I'd always find myslef FLOORED with unfamiliar TECHNO terms, and technologies I had no idea about. (Things like, DNS, php, even html!)
Having owned an number of businesses over the years and being a serial entrepenuer at heart I decided I was going to make a REAL GO of this "Internet Thing"
I set about to learn everything I could about what it takes to "Get Online"
From registering a domain name, arranging my website hosting to building my frist website, marketing my products and finally actually making some money!
It took some time, (quite a bit actually!) and a MOUNTAIN of study and trial and error, trying this and trying that, discovering what did and didn't work, and with time It all became clearer and clearer.
I recorded everything that worked for me and started putting it together in my business manual (every business owner, yes even if it's a small online business should create a business manual)
I love seeing people succeed, and I love sharing my knowledge of the internet with others. (I actually run workshops for the small business development corporation here in Perth on "Getting Your Business On The Web")
